La Tirana

La Tirana is a new historical performance ensemble based in London. Founded by Pablo Tejedor Gutiérrez, La Tirana is devoted to the exploration of 18th and early 19th-century music. Its creation has been encouraged through the prestigious scholarship program of the British-Spanish Society. The ensemble has played in St John Smith Square's series 'Concerts in the Crypt', the Royal College of Music Museum, the Horniman Museum and the Sands Film Theatre, and in France at the Musique au Paradis Festival. Recent concerts include engagements such as the commemoration of the change of the European Union Presidency at the Spanish Embassy in London in front of the Spanish and Belgian ambassadors and many other European Union diplomats playing some Iberian music modern premieres from the Age of the Enlightenment. La Tirana members are young graduates from the best conservatories in Europe and the UK and take part in some of the most vibrant ensembles of the international Early Music scene.
